The first techno contra dance with a UK band – not to be missed! Here are some details:

The dance will be in St Barbara’s Church Hall Coventry CV5 6AG. Amy our lighting artist will be making the venue look fabulous – please be aware this will include flashing lights and theatrical smoke / haze. The timings will be 19:30 til 22:30. Bob Morgan will be calling the dances, using larks and ravens.

Prices are as follows:

Pay before 7th Nov waged £10, student / unwaged £8

Pay on door or after 7th Nov waged £15, student / unwaged £10

Supporter £20

The Third Ceilidh Experiment

Welcome to the third ever Ceilidh Experiment! Hosted at the lively and cosy Ego performance venue, with our resident live band (Vic Smith and Nick Dewhurst) and caller, Bob Morgan.

Whether you’ve never done ceilidh dancing before, or whether you are a veteran, Ceilidh Experiment intends to be a new and exciting way of experiencing the dance form.

No previous experience required, we will teach you all the moves. Food will be available beforehand from the wonderful Ego Cafe, and there will be a bar. Tickets will be £10. Everyone is welcome and there’s no need to bring a partner! Looking forward to dancing with you all soon!

The Second Ceilidh Experiment

Welcome to the second ever Ceilidh Experiment!  Hosted at the lively and cosy Ego performance venue, with our resident live band (Vic Smith and Nick Dewhurst) and caller (Jen Morgan this time). We will also have an interval spot from the marvellous Morris Oxford (Tina Morris and Graham Lee)!

Welcome to the first event in Ceilidh Experiment, a new and exciting project to put the fun back into folk dance. Hosted at the lively and cosy Ego performance venue, with our resident live band (Vic Smith and Nick Dewhurst) and caller (Bob Morgan), this aims to be a ceilidh unlike any you’ve seen. Whether you’ve never done ceilidh dancing before, or whether you are a vetern, Ceilidh Experiment intends to be a new and exciting way of experiencing the dance form.

With brash and exciting music, friendly calling, a bar, and an attitude, our new venture intends to set a new bar in atmosphere at a folk dance event.
