The Third Ceilidh Experiment

Welcome to the third ever Ceilidh Experiment! Hosted at the lively and cosy Ego performance venue, with our resident live band (Vic Smith and Nick Dewhurst) and caller, Bob Morgan.

Whether you’ve never done ceilidh dancing before, or whether you are a veteran, Ceilidh Experiment intends to be a new and exciting way of experiencing the dance form.

No previous experience required, we will teach you all the moves. Food will be available beforehand from the wonderful Ego Cafe, and there will be a bar. Tickets will be £10. Everyone is welcome and there’s no need to bring a partner! Looking forward to dancing with you all soon!

Welcome to the first event in Ceilidh Experiment, a new and exciting project to put the fun back into folk dance. Hosted at the lively and cosy Ego performance venue, with our resident live band (Vic Smith and Nick Dewhurst) and caller (Bob Morgan), this aims to be a ceilidh unlike any you’ve seen. Whether you’ve never done ceilidh dancing before, or whether you are a vetern, Ceilidh Experiment intends to be a new and exciting way of experiencing the dance form.

With brash and exciting music, friendly calling, a bar, and an attitude, our new venture intends to set a new bar in atmosphere at a folk dance event.
